Dr. Wahlund grew up in Valley City, North Dakota. She graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology, and from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM in 2003. While in Veterinary School, she served as President of the student chapter in the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and received the Outstanding Surgeon Award of her graduating class.

Dr. Wahlund is Fear Free certified and enjoys discussing training and behavior strategies with clients. Dr. Wahlund is a member of AVMA and ISVMA, holds state veterinary licenses in Illinois and Iowa, and has attended over a dozen international veterinary conferences.

In her free time, Dr. Wahlund enjoys engaging in canine performances activities with her two dogs, Charlie Parker and Dr. Bruce Banner. Together they have earned over four hundred titles and National and International events and even a number of Grand Championships/Championships. These activities include: Dock Diving, Agility, Nose Work, Barn Hunt, Rally Obedience, Traditional Obedience, Conformation, Lure Coursing, Fast CAT, Herding, Disc Dog events, and Weight Pull.
